Black vs White limited editions

The announcement places Black exclusively at PlayStation Direct where that service operates, with select retailers elsewhere. White is offered through Direct and participating retailers globally, in limited quantities.

The US Direct pages displayed $84.00 at this check; the 3 September announcement instead lists a $84.99 USD recommended retail price. The announcement also lists €84.99, £74.99 and ¥12,480 including Japanese tax for either design. Those are announcement RRPs, not verified live euro/Japan offers. No currency conversion or worldwide price is implied.

Release date, preorder opening and purchase limits

Both reviewed UK and US Direct product pages list 19 November 2026. The announcement says launches start that day, with exact date and availability varying by country or region.

Preorders opened on 10 September: 7am PT / 10am ET through US Direct, and 10am local in the named European Direct markets. This opening date does not mean every version remains in stock today.

The four reviewed Direct listings currently state a limit of one per order. Check the matching regional page for current stock, household limits, shipping eligibility and delivery terms.

Ordering this controller is separate from preordering the GTA VI game. It is an accessory, not a game edition or evidence of a GTA VI console bundle.

Controller hardware compatibility does not announce GTA VI on PC

PlayStation Direct lists the controller hardware as compatible with PS5, PC, Mac and mobile devices. Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers depend on game support and may require a USB connection; the box contains the controller and user manual, with no USB cable included.

A controller working on PC does not mean GTA VI is announced for PC. Rockstar's game platform list remains PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Use Platforms for game compatibility and PC status for unannounced game details.

The accessory and GTA VI's DualSense gameplay features

PlayStation confirms haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for GTA VI on PS5. Those game features are separate from choosing Black or White artwork. The official descriptions do not document resistance or vibration for every weapon, vehicle or activity.
