What GuideStacker stores, why it is used and how you can control optional analytics.

Who is responsible for this site?

The operator of GuideStacker is responsible for the personal data processed through this website. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@guidestacker.com.

Google Analytics

GuideStacker uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site use, including pages visited and navigation between pages. Analytics is optional: the Google Analytics tag is not loaded until you choose Accept analytics.

If you reject analytics, GuideStacker stores the choice on your device and does not intentionally load Google Analytics for that visit. You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time.

Why analytics is used

Where you consent, analytics is used to understand which pages and features are useful, identify navigation problems and improve GuideStacker. The basis for optional analytics is your consent, which you can withdraw through Cookie settings.

Browser storage

GuideStacker uses local browser storage for features that need to remember choices on your device. This can include your analytics preference, saved guides, recently viewed guides and device-local progress in interactive tools.

These features are designed to keep their state in your browser rather than requiring a GuideStacker account.

Cloudflare and technical delivery data

GuideStacker is hosted and protected using Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request and security information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, where necessary to deliver, protect and operate the website.

Service providers and international processing

Information may be processed by service providers used to operate GuideStacker, including Cloudflare and, when analytics is accepted, Google. These providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom. Their own safeguards and privacy terms apply to that processing.

Retention

Device-local preferences remain in your browser until you change them, clear site data or the feature removes them. Analytics retention is controlled through the GuideStacker Google Analytics property and may be adjusted as the site develops. Security and delivery logs may be retained by infrastructure providers according to their operational policies.

Your choices and rights

You can reject optional analytics, reopen Cookie settings and clear GuideStacker browser data through your browser. Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may also give you rights relating to personal data, including access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection.

To ask a privacy question or make a request, email privacy@guidestacker.com. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Advertising

GuideStacker does not currently use advertising cookies. If advertising is introduced, this notice and the consent system will be reviewed before optional advertising technologies are enabled.

Changes to this notice

This page will be updated when GuideStacker materially changes the services, analytics or advertising technologies it uses. The latest revision date is shown above.
