Trailer 1: introducing Leonida

The announcement accompanying the first trailer establishes Leonida as GTA VI's setting, including Vice City and the world beyond it. It originally gave a 2025 release window for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; that window is historical. Use the Launch Center for current release information.

Why are both 4 and 5 December 2023 listed? Rockstar's video page dates Trailer 1 to 4 December. Its Newswire post is dated 5 December, so that is the date used for the timeline announcement.

Trailer 2: Jason and Lucia's story premise

Rockstar's accompanying synopsis centres on Jason and Lucia: a job goes wrong, drawing them into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida and making their reliance on each other central to survival. Take-Two's release confirms that all trailer footage was captured on PlayStation 5.

Rockstar describes this presentation as footage captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5. At 26:48, it is the longer showcase in this catalogue, published under the official title An Extended Look.
